Invest in eye-catching photos, since IG is a visual platform

Regardless of what your brand is, your site needs to be visually appealing, and that’s why the images you choose are essential in making your Instagram grow successfully over time.

You can find free images on Pexels or Unplash. Not all of us are photographers, but nonetheless, you want those images to look awesome and stand out. That’s one thing where I highly recommend investing money into, and you will see an almost instant grow.

Post every day

This is a very important element for growing your followers, and you need to make sure to post every day to keep people engaged and interested. It’s more about quality than quantity though, remember.

It’s better if you make a great post once a day that will draw views in and attract new followers than posting 2-3 mediocre posts per day, which can make people lose interest and do the terrible thing of unfollowing you, if you’re no longer meeting their criteria. So ideally plan out your posts in advance, the night before, and really think about what you want to achieve with it.

Make it catchy visually, but also use the right hashtags to go with it. It takes time to plan, but it makes it less stressful. Don’t scramble for last-minute posts and ideas, which usually leads to you posting something that isn’t your best.

Engage. A lot!

This is an important follow-up to posting every day. Engage with your followers as much as possible! One way to do so is by posting questions in your daily story, to which your followers can respond. That’s a great opportunity to get to know your awesome supporters and to make sure to make everyone feel listened to and welcomed into your community. It’s crucial to respond back to comments and questions as well, and react to comments.

I know time is precious, especially if you have a full-time job and maybe even a family to take care of, but my rule is as follows: Time it, so that your post or story of the day goes up when you can commit to at least 15-30 minutes of engagement with your followers afterward. They will appreciate your responses and enthusiasm to interact, and it opens up a ton of interesting conversations.

If you follow these 3 tips, your Instagram will go a long way. It will grow steadily and daily changes will occur. Then, before you know it, you’ll have your first 1000 followers and counting!
