You know the saying, quality over quantity. Well, that applies to the number of followers you have on Instagram too! Your followers are your network. Engage with them. Collaborate with them. Help build them up and they’ll return the favor. Without them, there wouldn’t be a you. So treat them well! Not sure where to start? Keep reading for a few ideas!
One idea is collaborating together for one outcome.
If you live in the same city as them, consider meeting up with them and doing a live video. Maybe the first live video could entail the official announcement of the two of you working together, and to keep an eye out for updates! That way you’re killing two birds with one stone: you’re engaging with not just your direct followers, but followers who maybe hadn’t heard of you before.
On top of that, you’re keeping these people on the edge of their seats! They’re going to feel compelled to await updates. This also could be a good time to plug your website and instruct them on how to sign up for a newsletter or updates. And side note, you’ve met and have established a friendship with another like-minded badass!
Here’s another idea.
If there’s one thing we all can agree on, it’s that we all like free stuff. And we’re willing to go out of our way to get that free goodness! As discussed in a previous post, it’s absolutely key to be consistent with your posts.
Announce a contest to your followers and instruct them on what they must do to enter the contest.
Maybe it’s using a promotional hashtag or having them invite three of their friends to subscribe to your website. Whatever it may be, make it clear that there is a prize at the end! So let’s say Friday is a day when you can announce winners of free merchandise. And every Friday at noon you go live to announce the winners! Fun and rewarding for everyone!
What it all comes down to is engagement. Be vocal. Be supportive of others.
Be punctual and consistent! Remember: without your followers, you have no audience…No one to sell yourself to. Reward your followers for their loyalty and support. Over time, you’ll figure out what’s the best method for you.
And at the end of the day, this should be a fun experience, regardless of how many followers you may have. Give yourself a pat on the back for putting yourself out there and trying new things.
